Background and Research Interests
I obtained my BS degree in Electrical Engineering with Physics minor from POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) in South Korea and MS degree in Physics from the same school. Now, I am enrolled in MIT Physics PhD program and working toward my PhD thesis in the Kirschner lab.
My major research interest is how various actin regulating proteins are working together to generate specific large-scale organization of actin filaments using Xenopus egg extracts in combination with synthetic lipid bilayers. In addition to conventional biochemistry, I am using various kinds of microscopic techniques such as fluorescence/electron/atomic force microscopies.
